ISO 50001 certification process
To obtain the Energy Management Certification of your organisation by EQA, you will need to follow the following steps:
- Implement the ISO 50001 standard.
- Apply to EQA for certification of your energy management system.
- EQA will request sufficient information for analysis prior to planning the on-site audit at your premises. In this certification audit, carried out by our audit team in an independent and rigorous manner, a report will be drawn up at the end of the audit, reflecting any deviations from the reference standard.
- If the deviations so require, they must be corrected by providing corrective actions and their evidence.
- Once the deviations have been closed, the file is processed by the EQA Certification Committee, resulting in the issue of the Energy Management Certificate, which is valid for three years.
- Annual follow-up audits are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the energy management system.
The maintenance of the certificate involves the following process:
- Annual monitoring 1.
- Annual monitoring 2.
- Recertification.
