ISO 26000
ISO 26000 is a voluntary guide that provides the fundamental concepts and definitions of Social Responsibility and the identification of 7 core areas or topics on which an organisation should report to its stakeholders, based on their economic, social and environmental impact.
Like GRI and other similar international initiatives, ISO 26000 is verifiable, providing greater transparency and accuracy of the information provided.
Unlike GRI, it offers a methodology focused on CSR Management, without including specific indicators. For this reason, the two can be used together.
The 7 key themes of ISO 26000:
- Governance.
- Human Rights.
- Labour Practices.
- Environment.
- Fair Operating Practices.
- Consumer Affairs.
- Active Participation and Community Development.
