GRI (Global Reporting Initiative)
The GRI framework is one of the most widely used at international level, recognised and taken as a reference in European Union regulations, such as that derived in Law 11/2018 on Non-Financial Information.
It establishes the basic principles, guidelines, concepts and foundations, and has defined a wide range of indicators to provide specific information on each material issue.
GRI Standards are verifiable, bringing greater transparency and accuracy to the information reported. It can be verified at a global level (the entire report), or on a specific number of indicators. It has two reporting modalities: essential and exhaustive, depending on the amount of information the company wants to provide.
GRI contains:
- Universal Standards: fundamentals, general information and management approach.
- Thematic Standards: economic, environmental and social.
- Sectoral Standards.
